Therapeutic treatments

We have external therapists and therapists at Blåvand Kurbad og Wellness.

This means that on selected days we can offer therapeutic treatments such as maternity massage, body therapy, complementary hormone therapy, sports massage and reflexology. If you have special needs or need to work a little more ‘in depth’, you may want to choose one of these treatments.

Body therapy

Body therapy is an in-depth form of treatment that involves movement of the joints, massage of the muscles, breathing techniques, acupressure and reflexology pressure. The movements are pulsating and vary in pressure and strength. The focus is on the whole body, both physically and mentally, working from a belief that trauma and emotional experiences can settle in the body. Suitable for tension, pain, anxiety, stress and agitation.  

Reflexology

Reflexology, in short, is a form of treatment that involves pressure on specific points and zones on the feet. This is done using special thumb, finger and hand massage techniques. It's a treatment that has both physical and psychological effects. Oils or lotions can be used.

Sports massage

Sports massage/physiurgical massage is based on the anatomical structure of the body with muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments. Suitable for athletes or people with sore and stressed muscles. As prevention or treatment.

Maternity massage

Massage for pregnant women, postpartum and babies. Can be combined with counselling if needed. 

Complementary hormone therapy

Complementary hormone therapy is the link between ‘alternative’ and conventional, where holistic thinking meets modern science. It seeks to uncover causes instead of treating symptoms. Recommended for all types of hormonal imbalances as it affects fertility, digestion, mood, menopause, stress and sleep etc.
